17-4PH (also known as Alloy 17-4) is a high-strength, stainless steel made up of chromium, nickel, copper and niobium. With precipitation-hardening and martensitic qualities, alloy 17-4 is both tough and corrosion-resistant. 17-4PH maintains high tensile strength and hardness, up to 316°C, and excellent oxidation resistance up to 593°C. Alloy 17-4 also has good creep-stress rupture properties up to 482°C.
